Congregational Letters from Rich Nathan

Still today five years after having left Vineyard Columbus I am still fond of Rich Nathan's uncanny congregational letters. His ability to put upside down longstanding "Christianese" assumptions, attitudes and behaviors into opportunities for the church to meet today's culture challenges is remarkable. Below are my favorite ones:

Jan 2007 Learning to be Stewards

Dec 2006 When a Leader Falls

Oct 2006 Bulwark or Bulldozer?
Sep 2006 Can there be peace in the Middle East?

Dec 2005 Who is on your Christmas gift list this year?
Jun 2005 God and Politics
May 2005 Staying on the tight rope
Mar 2005 I will not give the Lord what costs me nothing

Aug 2004 What is wrong with Gay Marriage?
Apr 2004 Four myths about giving
Mar 2004 Mel Gibson, The Passion, and the Charge of Anti-Semitism
Feb 2004 A church that is willing to take risks
